Rates are on a case by case basis and will be assessed based on the project proposal. The average pricing is around $1500/night for a minimum of 2 nights.
Pine Island Studio is part of the Bonfire Arts Collective network of studios.
Bonfire is a nonprofit organization that nurtures artists and communities by building, providing access to and programming dedicated creative spaces.
If flexible pricing is required, please let us know - or apply to Bonfire’s residency program!

Bonfire has an artist residency program for funded and partially subsidized stays for up to 4 nights.

Please see the general gear list here, however it is a rotating backline every year, we will share full inventory upon receipt of project proposal
You are welcome to bring your own equipment, we have staff that will assist with load in and out.
We can arrange equipment rentals upon request

Our standard rate provides an engineer for the 1st day to assist with setup.
But we can arrange a lead or assistant engineer for the duration of your stay upon request.

Address for the boat launch will be provided upon booking. The boat launch has private parking, suitable for up to 6 guest vehicles.
We provide the initial transport across the water for your arrival and again for departure.
Located 2.5 hours east of Toronto or 45 minutes north east of Peterborough.
We can also set up transport if you need a ride to the boat launch.

Guests will stay in 4 buildings grouped together a few minute walk from the studio
Main artist cottage with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full kitchen with appliances and cooking utensils, large dining room, living room, a large deck with BBQ
Bunkie with 2 bedrooms, 1 washroom, living room with a pullout couch
2 large, fully furnished yurts with electricity and 2 twin beds
8 individual beds including: 1 queen bed, 3 doubles, and 2 twin beds per yurt. There is also a pullout couch in the bunkie.
For larger groups, bringing additional beds, tents, etc is encouraged. Or we can supply at an additional cost.

We are willing to help accommodate as many guests as are necessary (within reason) to facilitate your retreat as long as safety and security is not compromised. We do not recommend groups larger than 15.
All visitors to Pine Island Studio and Retreat must be pre-approved and fill out a waiver form.
Keep in mind there are 8 individual beds, room for 12 if anyone is sharing. But you are welcome to bring in more bedding if you want to have a larger group

Guests are responsible for their own food
We can arrange grocery delivery, pre-made meals, and a private chef upon request

At least 1 of your guests must have a boating license for safety purposes, however we can manage all transport across the water if provided 24 hours notice.
Guests need written permission to drive any motorized water vehicles on the island.
Guests are welcome to rent their own boat and brought to the boat launch! (We can help with that too)
